Do I need an orthodontist to get braces?
Not necessarily. In California, general dentists who are trained in orthodontic treatment can provide braces. Dr. Raftacco is a general dentist, not an orthodontic specialist, and offers traditional braces for teens and adults. If your case needs a specialist, she will tell you and refer you.
Do you offer Invisalign or clear aligners?
Not at this time. Rainbow Dental Health Care currently offers traditional braces. If you are set on clear aligners, mention it at your consultation and Dr. Raftacco can advise on the best path for your case.
How long do braces take?
Most cases take between about 12 and 24 months depending on how much the teeth need to move. You will get a personal estimate at your consultation, and adjustment visits are usually every 4 to 8 weeks.
Do you accept Medi-Cal, Denti-Cal or dental insurance for braces?
